- Louisa Point: - It is located 2 km away from city centre & recommended to visit on clear days to have clear eyesight of Vishalgad & Prabalgad forts.
- Shivaji Ladder: - It is the trekking point in Matheran where downward Ladder-shaped steps take us towards the view.
- Echo Point: - This point in Matheran is something joyful place where you can enjoy natural echo for your voice. People used to shout their own name towards the hill and starts counting the repetition of echoed voice.
- Matheran Toy Train: - This toy train takes you to 21 km safari ride of beautiful jungle views and waterfalls.
- Ambarnath Temple: - It is the Hindu Temple of Lord Shiva which was built in 1060 AD. It is just 2 km away from city centre.
- Prabal Fort, Irshalgad Fort, Vikatgad Peb Fort: - The trio of these forts would remind you history of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj & will take you to their days. Though it will exhaust you to trek up on these forts but mark my words, it will be worthy for sure.

Best Time to visit Matheran
During May to October, high temperature heatwaves followed by heavy rainfall is being observed during this period which makes unfavorable to travel. Thus, November to April is being observed as the best time to visit here and all other outdoor activities are also carried out during this season only.
