Kolli Hills: A Hidden Paradise - Unveiling the Beauty
The unexplored beauty of Kolli Hills was an experience that
was transformative for me. It is located just 90 kilometres from Namakkal in
Tamil Nadu, this serene hill station offered a unique blend of nature, culture,
and adventure. Join me as I recount our journey through this offbeat paradise.
Well, that was my first time to visit southern region of India. Until
now, I had mostly explored Maharashtra and other nearby states. But this time, it
was something unique and different. Different in the sense of food, language,
culture, people's rules, etc.....
After completion of my academics, I was posted in Hosur near
Bangalore. Though it was our training period, but continuation of same work and
curiosity to explore made me to plan for travel with colleagues. It wasn't
expected but fortunately everyone agreed for this adventure trip.
Kolli
Hills Travel
Our adventure began at 5:30 am as we set out with a group of
25 enthusiastic travellers. The journey took around one and a half hours and
led us to the enchanting starting point of our Kolli Hills expedition. The
stunning natural beauty instantly left us in wonder !
Away from
the crowd away from reels.
If life is
giving change, go somewhere on hills.
Kolli
Hills Trek to Waterfall
Before boarding on our trek, we enjoyed a refreshing cup of special tea and light snacks. Our first destination was the foot of Kolli Hills where our hope for the waterfall point grew. We captured unforgettable moments through our lenses, dipping ourselves in the calm surroundings.
As we rose the hill, the sizzling sun exhausted our energy.
But a friend's enthusiastic shout, "Guys, we are just a step away from the
waterfall!" refreshed us. Each step brought us closer and the gentle
droplets from the waterfall felt like a welcoming embrace.
Kolli
Hills Temple
After hours of joy, countless photos and cherished memories,
we visited a nearby temple finding comfort in the serene natural surroundings.
Our journey continued to the Boating Park, a green escape just a few miles from
the waterfall offering boating and lush herb gardens.
Sekkuparai
View Point
Our final stop was the "Sekkuparai View Point," a
government-developed viewpoint that allowed us to see up to 11 nearby villages.
Adjacent to this viewpoint, we discovered a hidden gem - a chocolate shop
offering up to 43 varieties of mouthwatering homemade chocolates.
Yes, it was
cuts of so many bills...
But the full paisa wasool was Kolli hills....
With the sweetness of dark chocolate lasting in our mouth,
we concluded our memorable journey. Kolli Hills has carved a permanent mark in
my mind. Whenever I hear the word "hills," the first image that comes
to mind is the breathtaking beauty of Kolli Hills.
