Irshalgad Fort Trek: A Thrilling Adventure in the Sahyadri’s
Well, when was the last time you
had travelled with your friends? If I'm guessing right either it would be a
year ago or more than that. But you might be curious to travel out with friends
and enjoy the mother nature's greenery & make memorable moments. Same was
the feeling of mine & my friends because all of us are tired of this
pandemic and quarantine period. So, to make a change in travelling was the
first act which came in our mind.
There's a different craze of
trekking, hiking, or travelling to hill station especially in monsoon season.
As I am native of Maharashtra, the home ground of well-known Shri
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, we are blessed with attractive forts,
beautiful waterfalls and hills & valleys region like Sahyadri. Travelling
to this place in monsoon is like visiting heaven. Most crowd is seen every year
in month of June to August.
One of my recent hiking is done
in Irshalgad and I had a wonderful experience. It is very close to Lonavala and
straight road from Karjat chowk just a small right turn for Irshalgad or Morbe
dam. So how did I plan for it? It's very long story but I can say
whatever my last decision to go for Irshalgad was blissful and memorable
one.
I wake up early morning at 5.30
am pack my luggage, some food stuff, 2 litre water and went with my friends at
6.30 am. It was my first view. As we started walking in the natural greenery
our mind was getting more relax. But this was just a start as we slowly put our
step towards the first point. And it makes us Awww!! That was amazing
view of Morbe dam and nature scenery.
Morbe dam ... Collage of many small river. which provides
water to all Mumbaikars. As we again move towards the top, we faced light
rainfall and cold wind which made our trek more interesting. It was such a
beautiful view as rain shower. Finally, we came up to 2nd point where we saw
the top of Irshalgad from very far distance... Journey was still incomplete...
Then we headed towards actual hilltop of Irshalgad.
As we move step by step some of my friends were tired but we
push their limit and finally we touched the top of Irshalgad.
🔥 💚💚
The blue sky
The white Fogg
The natural greenery
The hilly mountains
The peace
The silence
The sound of birds.
Then we clicked some selfies and captured some pics. It was
very awesome trek and also memorable one. This hilly mountain was just
speechless. The main part came, when the Fogg was clearing and golden
heart of greenery was coming through. This view made my entire day successful. 🔥🔥
Hope you may also come and go through this wonderful
experience it is just a heaven. Enjoy your life and make more memories.
