Har ki Pauri Ghat - Haridwar

believed that drops of Amrut (nectar) fell here from the sky when it was being
carried in jug by Garuda after the Samudra Manthan.
Every day, hundreds of people take a dip in the holy waters
of the Ganga at Har ki Pauri. People do so in search of releasing stress,
sadness and impurities with the intention of leading a healthier life. It truly
comes alive during the sacred Kumbha Mela & the celebrations here are
nothing short of magical.

The evening aarti performed by the pandits at Har ki Pauri is a spectacle to look at. Pandits hold large fire bowls, ring bells and chant choruses which creates a calm atmosphere of devotion and spirituality.
The Ganga is illuminated by numerous flickering lamps set afloat while devotees sing prayers. Devotees’ place diyas (lamps) along the banks of the Ganga as a symbol of hope and wishes. It is a heartwarming sight representing the collective aspirations of the faithful.
